Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service (“BOKSS”)
Project brief:
This project is supported by The Community Chest Medical Assistance Fund. It is aimed to offer financial assistance to adolescents who are suspected to suffer from emotional or mental health issues and let them obtain counselling and medical service at early stage.
- Target Client:
- Youths at age 9 – 24 years old, who are suspected to have Common Mental Health Disorders (CMD), Psychotic Disorders or having suicidal ideation or self-harm behavior
- 100 quota per annual
- Service District:
- Central and Western, Eastern, Southern, Wan Chai
- Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po
- Kwai Tsing, Tuen Mum and Islands
- Assessment Criteria:
- Applicants must be Hong Kong residents and reside in Hong Kong
- Applicants’ incomes should be no more than 65%-80% of median monthly domestic household income. Please call to make inquiries about further details
- Application Procedures:
- Applicants apply by themselves, applied by family members, or by case worker’s referral
- Applicants receive initial assessment by professionals from BOKSS and submit relevant documents
- If the application is approved, applicants directly contact Clinical Psychologists/ Psychiatrist/ Counselor for assessment services or treatments
- Applicant reimburses the assessment or treatment fee with official receipt
